Welcome to Avalon House Hotel

Experience Unmatched Luxury at Avalon House Hotel in Castlecomer.

At The Avalon House Hotel we are delighted to offer you a wide range of 4-star, fully air-conditioned accommodation. The Avalon House Hotel boasts 30 quiet, spacious comfortable rooms. Our new addition to the family is the Town House. Behind the doors of our newly renovated Town House, you’ll find 11 beautiful individual rooms.

Throughout we have kept the spirit of the original buildings while giving it a fresh, contemporary feel. Every room has been thoughtfully designed with comfort at its heart — generous spaces, considered details, local craft and everything you need to settle in and feel at home.

While staying with us guests can enjoy Lark’s Bar (serving food all day) or Lil’s Restaurant serving the very best of modern, locally sourced Irish food. You will also have the opportunity to visit La Rive Sauna in our gardens over looking the river or take a short stroll to The Discovery Park where you and the family can immerse yourselves.

We also have access to some great golf courses, Castlecomer Golf Course a ‘good drive and a 9 iron’ from the front door, Mount Juliet 40 mins, Kilkenny Golf Club 15 min, Gowran Park 30 mins or Carlow 30 mins.

No two rooms are quite the same, thanks to the character of the existing house and its wonderfully individual layout. Some look out across the town while others take in views towards the neighbouring woods, bringing the surrounding landscape right into the experience.

The Avalon is a place to slow down, switch off and enjoy the simple pleasures: a beautiful room, a peaceful view and the feeling of having discovered somewhere a little special - somewhere you’ll want to return to.

Relaxed rather than formal, stylish without being fussy, our hotel is a comfortable and character filled base for discovering all the town has to offer and everything beyond. On the doorstop of Kilkenny City (21km)

These rooms are designed to ensure you get a perfect night's sleep. We also offer complimentary parking for all guests and free WiFi throughout.
